Learn an approach to coaching in the education environment that is intuitive and user-friendly, and integrates seamlessly with your other roles and responsibilities. This course offers powerful tools for cultivating self-responsibility, enhancing awareness, developing performance and capacity, encouraging confidence, surfacing personal motivators, and implementing accountability.

Adler’s “Coaching Skills for Educators” was piloted in three workshops with St. Louis area school districts in 2006, and is being offered for the first time in the Phoenix area.  Rating the program for its overall value, 87% of St. Louis participants gave the program a perfect “5” out of 5, with no scores lower than 4 out of 5.

Comments from St. Louis participants:

  • It was awesome- best training I have been to in 25 years. This is the missing piece of the puzzle! This coaching piece can affect the school system in such a positive way!      – Mary Jo Corcoron, M. Ed, Director of Early Childhood, Ladue School District
  • I have been challenged with thinking and trying new ideas and I have grown in 3 days!  Outstanding! Personally – it is life changing.  Professionally – It is a way of connecting with people on a deeper level, helping them to find their own strengths   and use them. I could probably write a book about how much this has impacted me – but to be concise – thank you for making a difference! It would serve every educator well to experience this training.                – Diane McKinney, Rockwood School District
  • Thank you for opening our thinking and challenging us toward better service.                – Mary Jo Griffin, Francis Howell School District

Shadow Coaching™ is a particular advanced application of reflective and observational coaching that provides one way for clients to go below the surface into the core dynamics of a situation, illuminating the truth of the moment and making decisions that move people forward.

Shadow Coaching™ is a real time learning approach in developing a refined self-awareness and capabilities in the workplace as a result of reflection on practice.
